So I’ve seen a few advertisements from “Let Freedom Ring“. Let it be known that anyone that believes anything that is in their advertisements are going to be misinformed. Also: there is likely going to be legal retribution for the lies that they’re telling in their advertisements. This isn’t just a ‘swift boat’ situation. This is a wholesale rape of Free Thought.
Insurers, automakers and American subsidiaries of foreign banks all want the Treasury Department to cut them a piece of the largest government rescue in U.S. history.
The betting is that many with their hands out will be successful, especially with financial markets in a stomach-churning dive and predictions the economy is about to tumble into a deep recession.

Yeah because this method of handing out money worked so well in Iraq and after Katrina. Has nothing been learned at all in the past 8 years? January 20th cannot come fast enough.

Yes, because what we need is TWO star wars MMOs. I tried Galaxies once. It sucked.
Slashdot | Couch Potato Gene Identified In Fruit Flies
“University of Pennsylvania biologists have discovered a mutation in fruit flies aptly named the ‘couch potato’ gene that allows them to simply chill out — entering a mild state of quasi-hibernation known as diapause, when winter arrives.
Right on the heels of Gov Pallin saying that she’ll cut all funding for “fruit fly” research.
Slashdot | Researchers Find Problems With RFID Passport Cards
“Researchers at the University of Washington have found that RFID tags used in two new types of border-crossing documents in the US are vulnerable to snooping and copying. The information in these tags could be copied on to another, off-the-shelf tag, which might be used to impersonate the legitimate holder of the card.”
Seriously? Did no one in the government have no clue that this was an issue with RFIDs? The USA desperately needs an “Office of Current Technology” that has the sole responsibility of staying on top of current tech and how it can be used and abused. The kind of ignorance that leads to the current RFID system for passports should never have happened.

I haven’t actually played this game, but several of my close friends have, and from what I understand the game sucks. Not as bad as the worse game you’ve ever played, but certainly not worthy of being made into a movie. I guess I should just be happy that Uwe Boll isn’t making this one.
