From the Director of Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. Looks like he is bringing us something new. Looks great.

The Mechanic Trailer

n action-thriller centered on an assassin (Jason Statham) and a young man who becomes an apprentice.

Looks like a fun flick in the same vein as The Professional. Well kind of.

Finally – part 2 is here! Hopefully we delivered this in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks to people graciously helping us for the sake of making a fun action movie, we managed to do all of this for a total of just over $600. A little pricier than the first, but totally worth it.

Also if you’re a super nerd, see if you can find when Spectre gets an achievement.

We are not authorized, nor affiliated in any way with Activision or Infinity Ward. Just dudes with computers as usual!

And if you want a Part 3, let us know in the comments below!

Also, Spectre is equipping OMA on this, hence the weapon switching.

The Losers Trailer

An explosive action tale of betrayal and revenge, The Losers centers around the members of an elite Special Forces unit sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. But the team—Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar—soon find that they have become the target of a deadly double cross, instigated from the inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Making good use of the fact that they are now presumed dead, the group goes deeply undercover in a dangerous plot to clear their names and even the score with Max.

Tomorrow When The War Began Trailer

When their country is invaded and their families are taken, eight unlikely high school teenagers band together to fight.

An Aussie Red Dawn from a popular book series apparently. Has anyone here read them? Looks like it could be good.

The Wolfman – International Trailer

Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother…and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.

Lawrence Talbots childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brothers fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) has come to investigate.

As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himselfone he never imagined existed.

Any good? I think I want to see this.

The Wild Hunt

WildHunt-1Shee

A MODERN MEDIEVAL SAGA, The Wild Hunt tells the story of Erik Magnusson, a young man who decides to follow his estranged girlfriend Evelyn into a medieval re-enactment game when he discovers that she has been seduced by one of the players.

As the down-to-earth Erik treks deeper into the game in search of his love, he inadvertently disrupts the delicate balance of the make believe fantasy-land.

Passions are unleashed. Rules are broken. Reality and fantasy collide. The good-hearted game turns into a tragedy of mythic proportion…

Capturing the culture of costume play and the potentially dangerous intersection of real and made-up worlds, The Wild Hunt is a timely and potent comment on the consuming nature of adopting another identity, even within a game, and the modern yearning for ritual.

This just looks strange and yet, possibly worth watching. My favorite quote is: “I know some girls, they role play medieval prostitutes and they have sex with men who pay them in fake coins.” Where?! Fake coins are easily available.

His girlfriend is a hotty too. It’s a shame she gets sexually assaulted by Viking Larpers. Looks like the film gets turned up a few notches at the end.

The A-Team Movie Trailer

This looks pretty stupid, GI Joe: Rise of Cobra stupid. The end of the trailer is pretty incredible though.

A Clip From Halo: Legends

halo_logo

“The Package” finds Master Chief and four specially-selected Spartans launched out of a stealth cruiser and into the heart of a giant Covenant fleet in a bid to recover a valuable intelligence asset. The episode is a showcase for the Spartans’ impressive fighting capabilities, whether it be hand-to-hand combat, ground assaults, or in zero-G while piloting never-before-seen light attack vehicles.

In the same vain as Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knight(Wasn’t there another one?), we now have Halo: Legends. Honestly I am Halo’d out, but I’d still play with my buddies online. But this is overkill. The CGI is very pretty though.

24: Season 8 Trailer

Jack Bauer just can’t seem to catch a break Darn terrorists. Not all that amused with this.

Pierre Morel’s From Paris with Love Trailer

A low-ranking intelligence operative (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) working in the office of the U.S. Ambassador in France takes on more than he bargained for when he partners with a wisecracking, fast-shooting, high-ranking U.S. agent (John Travolta) who’s been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.

From the same director as Taken. Which intrigues me. But Travolta as an action star? I am still healing from Battlefield Earth and his other recent corny films. They should have gone with Ed Norton, Matt Dillon, Guy Pearce or Sam Rockwell.

Bushido 16 Trailer

ushido Sixteen centers around two female competitors of another Japanese tradition, kendou (sword-fighting). Kaori is an accomplished kendou practitioner, but she finds herself facing an unexpected opponent in Sanae, a superficially weaker fighter who bests Kaori in a bout.

Apparently this is based off of an anime. This looks great. Teen Girls and swords.

Knight & Day Trailer

Looks possibly watchable. What is with Tom Cruise always having to look badass/cool in every fucking film he is in? Drives me nuts. The comedy falls flat a couple times, but the action looks entertaining.

MUST WATCH: Kick-Ass Hit Girl Red Band Trailer

kick-ass-hit-girl-costume

A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen. KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There¹s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).

This is going to be so awesome!!!! I mean kick ass! Is the Graphic Novel worth checking out?

Robin Hood chronicles the life of an expert archer, previously interested only in self-preservation, from his service in King Richard’s army against the French. Upon Richard’s death, Robin travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion, a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest. Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village, Robin assembles a gang whose lethal mercenary skills are matched only by its appetite for life. Together, they begin preying on the indulgent upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff.

Looks like Ridley Scott has made another epic movie worth watching.

Two years have passed since elite police officer Damien Tomasso (Cyril Raffaelli) teamed up with reformed vigilante Leito (parkour originator David Belle) to save the notorious District 13, a racially charged ghetto populated by violent drug dealing gangs and vicious killers. Despite government promises to maintain order, the state of the district has deteriorated, and a group of corrupt cops and elected officials are conspiring to cause civil unrest in D13, looking for an excuse to raze the area and cash in on its redevelopment. Now Damian and Leito must join forces again, and use their mastery of martial arts and their unique physical skills to bring peace to the neighborhood by any means necessary… before a proposed nuclear air-strike wipes it off the map. With bone crunching fights and death defying leaps, this adrenaline charged sequel takes the groundbreaking parkour action from DISTRICT B13 to thrilling new heights.

I still need to see the first one. This looks fantastic.

Here’s the plot of the sequel, as written by Dave, in which the returning Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and Billy Connelly are joined by Julie Benz and Clifton Collins, Jr.:

A COPYCAT KILLER IS IMITATING THE BOONDOCK SAINTS! GUNS! JULIE BENZ IS HOT! SLOW MOTION! MORE GUNS! SLOW MOTION! PEOPLE SHOOTING THINGS! ONE-LINERS! LOTS OF GUNS! PEOPLE GETTING SHOT! MORE ONE-LINERS! SLOW MOTION! CLIFTON COLLINS JR.! MORE GUNS! EXPLOSIONS! BILLY CONNOLLY HAS LOTS OF GUNS IN HIS JACKET AGAIN! AGAIN WITH THE ONE-LINERS! PETER FONDA, FOR SOME REASON! DID I MENTION THERE WERE GUNS IN THIS MOVIE? SLOW MOTION!

/Film

First off The Boondock Saints is the most overrated movie of all time. Yes, it’s a film with one or two cool things going for it: a action pack spin on Catholicism, alcoholism only a Bostonian Bar Merchant could come up with and the occasional slick one liner only a college student could enjoy. But otherwise it’s a complete Tarantino ripoff with nothing to offer, Plus the director is a straight up asshole. This trailer looks like a shit storm of shit. GI Joe is a better film compared to this I bet. Definitely any Michael Bay film. Can you tell I am not a fan?

Here is a nice docu on our friend Troy Duffy, I really need to see it:

I havn’t seen any of Nicolas Refn’s films. But they sure do seem to get a ton of buzz and have a definite fan base. This film looks gritty as hell. I want to check this one out for sure. One badass Viking film.
