Robert Gibbs, a top aide to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on his campaign and in his Senate office, will be named the White House press secretary, a top Democratic official said.
This would be awesome. I’ve seen him on TV several dozen (hundred?) times and he always seemed to be in control of what he was talking about (unlike the guy that nearly got into a fist fight on Fox News…).

Obama is going to need all the savvy he can get (in a press secretary) and Gibbs certainly fits the bill.
