As someone who was online before the WWW existed, I understand the sentiment but not the waste of energy in actually expressing it to someone who won’t get it.

That was my sentiment as well. I chuckled as I read it, but knew it was pointless (and not really true). I could picture my self writing it in the middle of the night when I was bored.
