Sports Illustrated’s cover story on what’s happened to the dogs that were part of Michael Vick’s dog fighting kennel. It turns out the large majority of them are living and some are even thriving, which is a miracle when you remember that even PETA thought they needed to be put down.

Dammit, I cried when I learned about what was going on over there, and dammit I cried again when I read about this too :*(Favorite This!

All the people involved in that deserve a bullet to the head.
I was really happy to hear that people took on the dogs and will give them a good doggy life. Under normal circumstances fight dogs are automatically euthanized in most cities. I honestly don’t understand how a person can watch and participate in something so violent w/out being affected.
I realize that Sports Illustrated isn’t the apex of literature, but is there any goddam reason to spell news with a z?
sause of incident?
nvm got it.
I just assumed that the Bad Newz Kennels was the name of the kennel the dogs were taken to.
Ok, that would explain it
Uh yeah… Bad Newz Kennels was the name, wow short memory people, watch Dog Town on Animal Planet, they have updates on the show, they took most of the dogs in, one female had no teeth so she could be bred easier, sick people in this world and Vick will always be one.
My bad it’s on NatGeo. They had an update in the last week or two.
aw, dog town. that’s a sad show to watch 🙁
I’d never seen that show before this last christmas, as you mentioned it’s on the obscure “national geographic” channel, which until now I always knew them as a magazine and not a tv channel.
NGeo has some really cool shows.
