Free Beer Has Pretty Limited Appeal at family theme parks

No more free beer at Busch theme parks. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, will no longer offer free beer at its theme parks, which include Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, due to the “limited appeal” of free beer.
Incorrect: Anheuser-Busch Thinks “Free Beer” Has “Pretty Limited Appeal”

The consumerist is of the opinion that they’re wrong about this, but really, it seems like Anheuser-Busch is right on the money.  If they have a family friendly theme park, why have a section that kids will never see?  Mind you, I did enjoy the beer the last time I went, but you can never get enough of the ‘free’ beer 😛

  1. I’m trying to remember if it was Busch Gardens (in Florida) that had the hospitality house. Hubby and I enjoyed the beer tasting. Geez it was so long ago. I think they had different nationalities’ beer. Or am I totally off? Family friendly has a different meaning today than it did 2 decades ago. Now, alcohol is not served where it’s likely that there will be a lot of kids. Chuck E Cheese is learning that the hard way.

  2. If you’re talking about the one if Tampa, Florida, yes they did have beer. They even had/have a bottling and distribution plant there. I remember that I couldn’t go into the hospitality section of the hospitality house because of the over 21 requirement, and that my dad made my mother go get him a couple beers, cause they had a 2 free drink limit.

So he had four. What good times.
