Reports have surfaced that Seattle police chief, Gil Kerlikowske has been tapped for a job in the Obama administration, most likely as the administration’s new head of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, commonly known as the “drug czar.†But unlike past leaders in the “War on Drugs,†Kerlikowske is outspokenly lenient on the enforcement of marijuana possession laws – at least so far – with local supporters of medical marijuana laws very pleased with the choice.

Oh happy day? will I finally be able to legally get drunk, take pills, AND smoke weed all at the same times?

After a dark dark 8 years things are kinda coming around. Despite the apocalyptic scenario that is our current economy. Right on!
If he is appointed Drug Czar this would be a huge step forward. Seattle Police have been told that enforcing marijuana laws should be their lowest priority. At the Annual HempFest, they openly hand out joints in the park.
I sure hope so.
@reboot: Marijuana Laws here in my county in California have low priority too. People smoke openly downtown and the penalty is as bad as jaywalking. Unless you have tons on you. Plus medical Marijuana here is all the rage.
well, shit. i guess Californee is the place i ought to be, so i’m loading up the hooka and i’ma move to Beverly
@reboot: Are you sure about that? I’m pretty sure they don’t hand out joints @ Hempfest, though they definitely do look the other way if you happen to be smoking one there.
@reboot: I can’t imagine police handing out joints. Is that what you were saying?
