According to Dvice, part of Google’s x-prize for the moon is to have the ability to grow plants from lunar soil.  The image above is one of the conetpt models that they plan on launching and testing sometime in 2012 (aka, the end of the world).  You’ll notice that the Dvice comments quickly turn to the topic of growing “space chronic”, which would be awesome.
