I was just playing with the 2 1/2 year old son of a friend of mine from out of town today. At one point he looked at me and said “My father died”, very matter-of-factly. I said the first thing that came into my head, “So did mine. It sucks.” That was the whole of that conversation; and we went back to drawing with sticks in the dirt. I have no particular point to make; just thought I’d share the story.
