At a Barney Frank town hall meeting in Dartmouth, MA, a constituent asks, “Why are you supporting this Nazi policy?”
Frank responds: “On what planet do you spend most of your time?” He then calls her approach “vile, contemptible nonsense.” He closes by saying: “Trying to have a conversation with you would be like arguing with a dining room table.”

I’ve seen tis 5 times and it gets better each time.
Go Barney!
Yeah, but he didn’t answer the question.
Why should he? It was a ridiculous question. Why is he backing Nazi health care reform…I wouldn’t answer it either.
But it was totally cool when people compared bush to hitler? I guess godwins law is only offensive when the candidate you like is in power.
I’m sorry but when the fucking author of EcoScience is the “Czar” of our entire nations scientific policy then expect obama to be compared to hitler. To be fair to senator frank the Obama-as-hitler thing pisses me off every bit as much as bush-as-hitler (Did i use those hyphens properly? I need to start writing essays for fun again since my speaking and writing has gone down the shitter)
it generally makes more sense to compare power hunger military despots who are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands to hitler than it does to compare a half black man and a mix raced jew who are attempting to make changes to the country’s health system.
and why are you so concerned about John Holdren’s stances on population control?
here’s a bit from a faux news article:
“Dr. Holdren has stated flatly that he does not now support and has never supported compulsory abortions, compulsory sterilization, or other coercive approaches to limiting population growth,” the statement said.
“Straining to conclude otherwise from passages treating controversies of the day in a three-author, 30-year-old textbook is a mistake.”
Bush was mad for war, so there is a sort-of kinship there, but yeah it’s stupid to compare Obama or Bush to Hitler. That said, she said Nazi, not Hitler; so she was saying Obama is fascist…which is almost as ridiculous. Assuming she even had a clue about the things she was implying.
Also, the ‘Bushies’ were the ones who started all the ridiculous labeling of those that disagreed w/ them. As a result they got labeled back.
Perhaps Cheney would be the more appropriate Hitler.
Come on, Lotus. Don’t disappoint me. You’re smart enough to do your own critical thinking instead of letting the pundits do it for you. I’ve been begging someone to demonstrate that Holdren was actually advocating the things that people bring up about that book for a month now and all I can find is the contrary. Don’t be that gullible.
There is a war going on right now where some people are fighting very hard to maintain the status quo. They will sell it dearly, and their weapons will be fear and lies. It’s a good idea to do independent research on any juicy talking point that gets thrown around these days.
Or, you can believe that Holdren is into genocide, or that we are setting up death panels to decide when to kill old people. If you do that, be sure to ask the lady in the video for a copy of her Obama/Hitler poster for the rallies.
