In Fish Tank (which is not about Fish or tanks for that matter), 15 year old Mia’s life is turned on its head when her mom brings home a new boyfriend. Arnold casts the same unflinching, unprejudiced gaze and touches on the themes of her Oscar-winning short Wasp to create an original and unsettling tale for our age.
I just found out about this movie. /Film wrote about it in Sept 09. But I am pretty sure this hasn’t shown in the US yet. Really funny how long some films take to be shown in the US. It’s a total crap shoot. Anyhow this looks pretty good and has had rave reviews apparently. Give as good as you get.
EDIT: This is strange. A new trailer for this movie came out today. My spider sense was tingling.
