San Juan, Puerto Rico CNN — A humanitarian mission to aid Haitian earthquake victims turned into a major embarrassment in Puerto Rico on Friday as pictures emerged of doctors drinking, mugging for cameras and brandishing firearms amid the victims’ suffering.The ethics committee of the commonwealth’s medical board said it was launching an investigation into whether those involved should be disciplined.

Meh. the mainstream media may get their panties in a bunch when they see some doctors have a drink and do the stupid things that people do when drunk, but I can’t find the energy to be angry about this. They’re down there helping countless thousands, the least we could do is let them drink and take stupid pictures.

Disciplined for what, exactly? Drinking? As tiki said, they’re in Haiti to help in any way they can, if they don’t take a few moments to relax (and laugh a little), they’d be overwhelmed by all the tragedy surrounding them.
They just needed to blow off some steam. I agree, give them a break.
The people of Haiti could use some cheery partying. Raising the spirits of your patient is part of being a doctor after all. Firearms for the lolz.
