JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 2-year-old boy shot Friday while police fired at a robbery suspect is still fighting for his life.

Witnesses said Daniel Crichton, his mother and a 7-year-old girl were inside a car at a fast-food drive-through when the bank robbery suspect tried to carjack their vehicle.

Kid’s still alive, so at least there’s that.  WTF were the police thinking though?  42 shots?  Does it really take that many to get a bank robber?
