My brain won’t tell me how they did this, it looks like there might be a protection medium on the stage, but I’m not 100% sure, and why call it a hologram if it’s still a 2d singer on a screen?
How does it work, geez. Also, I wish I knew japanese, cause it sounds like the crowd is really into that, though the uniformity of their glow sticks makes me think they’re all plants. zombie killing plants.

I think I’ve seen this before. It projects a 2 d image into 3d space. What the hell Japan? Why do you get all the crazy stuff.
