Was this regarding an abortion ban or regarding cutting funding for abortions? From what I saw, the guy was talking about not funding abortions with taxpayer money. Clearly, he didn’t like abortions, but I don’t think that was the discussion here.
Frankly if we’re going to have nationalized health care, then I think we should pay for medically necessary abortions (if we can add victims of rape to that, it would be nice). Anyone else should have to pay for it themselves. Peoples actions require accountability and responsibility.
I’d much rather we promote education about contraception (condoms, pill, and the like) then pay for the abortion after. Better for all and less impact on the budget over the long term.
