Next month, the entire Star Wars series is headed to Blu-ray. And wouldn’t you know it, George Lucas has gone in and futzed around with them again for the release.
I’ve seen this all over the net today, all anyone knows is that “something” was changed, but no one knows what. Considering the tragedy that the 90’s edits were, I don’t hold out much hope that these new “improvements” will turn out very well 🙁

The Digital Bits did a nice article detailing a lot of the changes & improvements that are going in to the new Blu Ray set. Sadly, it won’t be our beloved original un-fucked-with trilogy, but it appears that many of the technical mistakes from the 2004 DVD releases have been addressed & corrected

meh. more of the same old “we edited the fuzz in frame 20 of scene 15 so that instead of being fuzzy it is not less noticeably fuzzy” bullshit that they’ve been doing for the last 20 years.
